Sailing School
Basic Keelboat/Basic Coastal Review (BKR/BCR)
Prerequisites
Must be a Tradewinds Student and have taken at least BKB with us (for BKR) or BCC with us (for BCR)
Schedule & Crew
This is a one-day, 9am to 5pm course, with up to four students and one instructor aboard.
Description
Classes will available for up to four people with the following priority and charges (higher priority will bump lower from the class)
- Students who have not passed a course, need further education, and need to demonstrate water skills in order to pass. This will be free of charge for students who have showed up and participated in the course to what we and our instructors believe is the best of their ability. If a student does not appear to be putting in the effort to pass during class, or did not put a sufficient amount of water time in to practice prior to the class, we may charge for this at our discretion.
- Fleet and Skipper members may fill remaining spots, free of charge, up to twice per member for BKB reviews and once per member for BCC/BBC reviews.
- Mate members and non-members may pay the full rate to attend a review class, and are only eligible if they took the initial course that they are reviewing with Tradewinds.
Prices for the review classes, when a charge is necessary, will be published on the Course Schedule page of our website.
